Preventive Measures for Navigation in the Red Sea
The ONE shipping company has distributed the following information to its customers, which will take effect immediately.
Dear Valued Customers,
Given the recent heightened security incidents in the Red Sea region and the Gulf of Aden and the escalating threats to vessels and their crew, Ocean Network Express (ONE) will implement the following response measures effective immediately to ensure the safety and security of our crews, while remaining also committed to ensuring the continuation of reliable and secure transportation services to our customers.
As a temporary measure, we will avoid the Suez Canal and the Red Sea with immediate effect, and instead route our ships around the Cape of Good Hope or have the vessels wait in a safe location. When the situation in the area is deemed safe for crews, our ships, and the cargo onboard, we will resume routing our ships through the Suez Canal.
We regret the inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding in this regard.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact your sales account representative for additional information.
Yours Faithfully,
Ocean Network Express Pte. Ltd.
