Apple has published a recall in the following press release:
Cupertino, California – Apple hast published a voluntary recall for a limited number of 15 inch MacBook Pro laptops of the generation because they contain a battery that could overheat and pose a safety risk. The laptops were sold between September 2015 and February 2017 and can be identified by the product serial number.
The recall does not involve other 15 inch MacBook Pro laptops or any other Mac notebooks.
Because safety of the customers has highest priority, Apple is asking not to use those 15 inch MacBook Pro laptops any more. Customers can find details under this link whether their laptop qualifies for a free change of the battery:

First check to see which 15-inch MacBook Pro you have. Choose about this Mac from the Apple menu () in the upper-left corner of your screen. Confirm your model is "MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)." If you have that model, enter your computer's serial number below to see if it is eligible for this program.
