Addendum 2 to the IATA DGR published
IATA has published Addendum 2 to the IATA DGR 2023 (64. edition of the handbook) last week.

Quite a few changes
are on our beloved topic lithium batteries.
Several operator variations were changed or newly published.
An interesting change was made to 2.3.5.8.1 refering to equipment carried as checked baggage like e.g. AirTags. It is
unusual for IATA to publish a requirement that was not yet officially voted on by ICAO. Yet this was done because it
had been already discussed in several boards/panels to accept baggage tracking devices which are switched on
during the flight, among others by the EU Council (see council decision (EU) 2023/568).
Here the link to the EU council decision: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN-DE/TXT/?from=EN&uri=CELEX%3A32023D0568
